Attitude Adjustment

Whom ever I spoke with had a very bad attitude. I picked this particular one because they had the best ratings. I guess I just spoke to the wrong person. Totally understandable, we all have bad days. But it's your job to assist customers, if you don't want to help people think about a "career" change!!!! Hopefully working for a uhaul company is not your CAREER anyway!!!!

Richard I went by the U-Haul Storage in Glassboro and the General Manager there, I think her name was Sue, says she has been there for almost two years? She was extremely helpful, got me a beautiful climate controlled room, but said she did not know anyone by your name running that location?

I have been the General Manager of this facility for 2 1/2 years. I assure you that this is a clean, dry & secure facility with helpful and caring staff. If you visit this facility I will personally show you around and give you my word that our cleanliness and professionalism will be apparent. In addition to having the cleanest, nicest storage facility in this area, we are open 7 days a week, 364 days a year, have no deposits or hidden processing fees, offer 24 Hour access and courtesy carts for our customers to use while moving into the facility. My name is Richard Shattuck and if you have any questions please feel free to contact me personally and be cautious of the reviews posted here. I have found several instances of competitors trying to tarnish the reputation of a good facility in the hopes of building up their own. I know that personally I would not feel comfortable doing business with some who resorts to such an unethical and unprofessional practice. Please come see us for any of your storage or moving needs. Willie - this is true, but this person was not a customer here. They are just an unethical person slandering their competition to try to increase their business. I appreciate you defending us, we take great pride in our facility and it is the cleanest and nicest facility in the area by far...Rick Shattuck, General Manager of UHaul.

The WORST for equipment & service!

I wish I could give ZERO stars! We rented a 5x8��� trailer. On New Years Eve at 8:00pm, the trailer���s tire went flat approximately 10 miles from the facility we rented from. We immediately called customer service & after several phone calls, we were advised that they were unable to find a mechanic who had the ���right size tire���. The representative asked if the TRAILER was ���in a safe place��� & if we could ���wait until the morning��� for repair (interesting that she was concerned about the trailer���s safety ��� not mine or my family���s. And even more interesting that they "didn't have the right size tire" on New Years Eve but, WOULD miraculously have one the following morning). I explained that I had a 2 year old child in the vehicle, was 6 months pregnant, that it was 20 degrees outside & we had nowhere to stay. She advised she would continue trying to find a tire & would call back in 10 minutes. She never called back. I AGAIN called customer service & after several MORE calls was advised that they would have a mechanic there at 8:00 am the following morning. The mechanic did not arrive until after 10:00 am the following day ��� at which point we had been stranded in the freezing cold for 14 hours. When I reported the problem to customer service, I was advised that despite the considerable hardship we endured as a result of U-Haul���s negligence, the most compensation she could offer us was $60! Ridiculous! In addition, my husband was on military leave & this delay caused him to waste precious leave time. I also asked for a copy of the phone transcripts from the numerous phone calls (the recording states that these are available upon request) & was told they would e-mail them to me ��� they���ve never arrived. This standard of service is inexcusable and even worse, presents a very dangerous situation for U-Haul customers. I will NEVER be renting from U-Haul again & will be advising everyone I know to find another carrier.

If this did happen it's terrible & I apologize. I have been Manager of this facility for 2 1/2 years and do not recall this. Unfornately this customer is speaking of the breakdown hotline & other branches outside of my control, not the facility itself. I understand the customer's frustraition for having to endure this, though and sincerely apologize for their experience. We do care about our customers.
